Shannon Lau

Shannon is studying Computer Science and Engineering and is part of the Comau Industry Team as well as being an ENGR 456 student mentor. 

“MDP pushed me to take initiative for my own work while making space for others. My computer vision project with Comau gave me the opportunity to leverage each person’s unique contributions to engineer a cohesive solution. At the culmination of my MDP project, thanks to the support of my sponsor, faculty, and teammates, I grew to become a better communicator, more empathetic teammate, and stronger leader in navigating the highs and lows of any problem.”

Shannon plans to graduate in May 2022 and hopes to go to focus on human-computer interaction and building technology with functional design.
