Lauren Citkowski

MiTEE team

Major: Aerospace Engineering, Class of 2021

Lauren has been a part of the MiTEE research team since January 2018. Lauren was competitively selected for a fellowship to continue her research over the summer. Her work has included characterizing solar cells and assembling solar panels and photodiode pyramids. She has been working on photodiode-to-spacecraft coordinate transformations and attitude determination of the sun relative to the satellite.

“Research has exposed me to open-ended problem solving, and shaped me into more capable engineer,” Lauren notes. Upon graduation, Lauren would like to work in the space industry. Her dream is to work as an engineer for a ground-breaking space mission, akin to the Apollo or Curiosity Rover missions.
