Ellen Solomon, Ph.D., P.E.
Faculty Research Program Manager
Ellen Solomon is the Faculty Research Program Manager and is responsible for the management, development and growth of research opportunities within the Multidisciplinary Design Program. Ellen is actively involved in student and faculty recruitment, FRST team support, and student coaching and mentoring.
Ellen’s technical background is in the field of Materials Science and Engineering. Prior to joining the Multidisciplinary Design Program, Ellen was a consultant at an engineering firm where she applied her background in materials to solving complex engineering problems across various industries. Ellen also holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and received her Professional Engineering license in the Metallurgical and Materials practice.
