Student Recruitment for 2018 Projects Has Begun!
You will shake hands and speak with engineering and product development professionals about the MDP project they are sponsoring. Build your network, learn about the projects, and position yourself as a great candidate. Attire is casual!
What is the MDP Project Preview Night?
The 2018 MDP Project Preview Night will showcase 40 projects with open positions for students across the University. All Corporate Partners and Faculty Research Teams will be in the Bob & Betty Beyster Atrium (Tishman Hall) to meet with interested students, discuss design project opportunities, and collect student resumes. Attend this event if you cannot attend the Project Opportunity Fair. Casual Attire is fine.
Research all project opportunities on our Projects Page.
Tue October 3, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
How can I apply to work on a specific project?
After the fair, Students may apply online. You will upload your resume once, and then rank your interest in any number of projects. (You can apply for 1, 2, 3….up to all 40!) Each project you select will require a very brief statement of interest, and an option to self-record a brief video interview. Interviews are not required. Sample statements will be provided on the application.
How are teams assigned?
Once all student applications are received, our Corporate Partners and Faculty Mentors provide the MDP Leadership Team with their student preferences based on students’ majors, prior experience, general qualifications and level of enthusiasm for the project.
The MDP Leadership team works hard to maximize satisfaction among all three groups: Students, Corporate Partners and Faculty Mentors, with a goal of fully staffing all teams with appropriate student skillsets and giving students a chance to deliver outstanding design.
