CAEN Access for non-engineers
CAEN, the information technology (IT) department for Michigan Engineering, allows all MDP non-Engineering* students to obtain a “CAEN Account.” This computing account provides login access to any CAEN computer lab on campus, and the opportunity to access Engineering IT resources and run licensed software.
If you have any difficulty logging in or running software, you can contact the CAEN Hotline/Help Desk (bring your Mcard when coming in-person), located behind the information desk on the first floor of the Duderstadt Center. You can also contact CAEN online.
Private Consulting on CAEN Software:
There are private consulting hours offered for MDP & Wilson Center Teams in the Wilson Center Conference Room.
Thursdays 4pm – 6pm
with John Hufnagel from the CAEN helpdesk.
This consultation service promotes and supports student project team use of design/analysis software. Please take advantage of this opportunity to address any training or operational challenges your teams are facing with software tools, and to share your team perspectives about how this consulting service could be most effective for your team going forward.
