Dan Johnson is the Program Manager of the Faculty Research Project program, which focuses on students teams devoted to faculty research projects. He brings years of experience in teaching design, which comes from his years as a graduate student instructor and lead instructor of the senior capstone design course in mechanical engineering at U of M. Aside from lecturing and mentoring students, Dan is co-founder of a medical device startup and continues to research and invent in the field. He earned his B.S. from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by his M.S. and Ph.D. at U of M.
